How many times have we seen the title DAVID BEATS GOLIATH, and yet it never seems to bore the readers. Especially for any Scouser on a day like this when the MIGHTY REDS overcame all the gaga around them to come from behind -yet again- and beat Manchester United at Old Trafford (OT) and beat them with total domination in one of the greatest encounters in BPL this season. Old Trafford seemed like a fortress until today. The last time a goal was scored in Old Trafford this season was way back in November. It was like a nightmare for the Red Devils out there. An emphatic victory for Liverpool and a score line of 1-4 says it all. This has been the worst defeat for ManU this season and the worst at OT in nearly 17 years. This will be counted along Liverpool’s best wins in the premier league.
The first 20 minutes of the game was dominated by ManU and that would be it. The pendulum shifted and it was all Liverpool. Pepe Reina brought down Park Ji Sung inside the box, only for Ronaldo to net the ball home from the spot and take the lead in 24th minute. But that was as far as ManU could get near the goal. Torres who missed the the game at Anfield gave a you-were-lucky-last-time performance by stealing the ball from an underestimating Vidic and win the one-on-one with Van Der Sar. This was just the beginning of a very bad outing for Vidic.
This was the 1st goal He had conceded since November at the OT. But, it was definitely not going to be the last. Atleast not today. Just before half-time Evra brought down Gerrard inside the box after a beautiful move by the captain and he obliged by converting the penalty. 
Liverpool and Torres kept questioning the Home defense throughout the 2nd half. A smart move by the Reds’ captain forced Vidic to take evasive action which turned out to be disastrous for the center back. Vidic got a straight red card and Fabio Aurelio hit a catch-it-if-you-can free kick and the unmoved Dutch Golie could only watch it sail by into the top corner. Liverpool missed a couple of easy chances to go 5-1 up as Gerrard missed his hat-trick. But just as the game was coming to an end with a 3-1 score line, the super sub Dosenna who had earlier replaced Riera, scored the 4th goal for the Reds for the 2nd time in the same week with a fine lob to give an enthralling climax to this Scouser-dominated game.
It was an all round performance and a special mention of the contributions by Kuyt, Carragher, Skrtl, Mascherano and "I am here to stay" Lucas who performed under pressure against a big club.
The (Red) Devil Wears Parda and with this victory Liverpool make it a double-double with wins home and away against 2 of the top 4 teams: Chelsea and Manchester Utd.

Street lights are probably one of the biggest energy wasters that I can think of. Don’t get me wrong, because there is always someone out in the middle of the night who needs a little bit of illumination to find their way home. However, no one in their right mind would leave a light on all night when it is only needed for a few minutes.
This is why a few towns in Germany have invented the Dial4Light. This is a system that allows the user to turn on street lights with their mobile phone. Once they have dialed up to turn the light on, the light will automatically go off after about 15 minutes.
The German towns that have tried this system have already seen a twenty-five percent drop in their electric bill, which is enough to justify implementing a Dial4Light system like this in every town.
However, if you come to think of it, it will be of absolutely no use in India. I could spot 2 reasons:
1. There are no street lights in most areas and even if there are, they aint working.
2. if they do work, Indian thieves are smarter. They will turn on the lights 15 minutes before the victim arrives and the light would go of precisely when the victim is in sight. Zip zap zoom and you are left with no money and all this before the person even thinks about dialing.
Couldn't there be another solution to this? I wish I knew.
For Sony Ericsson, it seems that an 8MP camera phone is not enough. At the Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson launched a 12.1 MP camera mobile phone codenamed Idou which is a smartphone having high end camera features and is based on Symbian OS.
The SE Idou comes with a 12.1 MP camera having features like Xenon Flash, Geo Tagging, Auto Focus, Smile Detection, Face Detection and advanced camera touch features. It has a 3.5 inch TFT Touchscreen with 360 x 640 pixels supporting 16 million colors amd 16:9 widescreen format support. 
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0., FM Radio along with GPS with A-GPS support, are also present. The Media Menu is now fully optimized to support the 16:9 format and will enable you to play your favorite movies, music etc. The phone’s memory can be extended by using microSD cards.
The phone is expected to be launched in the second half of 2009.
Cold Sores, Fever Blisters or Oral Herpes are three names for the same thing. They commonly appear on the border of the lip or nose but can form anywhere on your body where the herpes simplex virus can get through the skin.
The herpes simplex virus is the root cause of all cold sores (fever blisters, oral herpes). The herpes virus creates the sores as a side effect of creating new virus particles. But, the herpes virus cannot create its own offspring. It needs the nerve cells to do so and so it claims a nerve fiber near the entry area and resides in that fiber for life. When the virus enters a cell, it takes control and forces it to produce new virus clones.
You will notice swelling of the target area as the cells fill up. Once the cells reach maximum capacity, the controlling virus destroys the victim cells and the new viruses spill out. It is aggressively contagious and can enter the body through even the tiniest crack in the skin. You are contagious from the first sign until the final healing redness disappears. Getting a cold sore in your eye can cause serious vision damage.
Treatment:
Some of the most proven cold sore treatment remedies are lysine, zinc and garlic. These can and should be used both internally (supplements) and as topical treatments. Continual cleansing of the area with alcohol or peroxide is very important too.

Two types of red notices can be issued:

The Black Corner Notice contains information related to unidentified dead bodies, specifically those related to individuals suspected to have died while using a false identity. Blue Corner Notice:
It is an “International Request for Information Notice”. This notice is primarily used for tracing and locating a person when the decision to extradite has not yet been made. It may also be used to verify a person’s identity, to obtain particulars about his criminal record or to locate witnesses to criminal activity.
Green Corner Notice:
A Green Notice is an International Alert Notice that is used to provide warnings and criminal intelligence about persons who have committed criminal offenses, and are likely to repeat these crimes in other countries.
Yellow Corner Notice:
The Yellow Notice is an “International Missing Person Notice”. This notice is used to help locate missing persons, including children, or to help identify persons who may not be able to identify themselves such as a person suffering from amnesia.
Orange Corner Notice:
To warn police, public entities and other international organizations about potential threats from disguised weapons, parcel bombs and other dangerous materials.
INTERPOL-United Nations Special Notice:
Issued for groups and individuals who are the targets of UN sanctions against Al Qaeda and the Taliban. It was created in 2005 at the request of the UN Security Council. This is the only notice that is not issued with a coloured logo. When I enquired why, UN said they are against colour discrimination.A wonderful gesture indeed :-D.

Definition:
Pharming is a practice in which malicious code is installed on a personal computer or server, misdirecting users to fraudulent Web sites without their knowledge or consent. It is an attack by the hacker, aiming to redirect a website's traffic to another, bogus website
Phishing:
In phishing, the perpetrator sends out legitimate-looking e-mails, appearing to come from some of the Web's most popular sites, in an effort to obtain personal and financial information from individual recipients. This is done by luring the individuals to visit the websites by clicking on the links in the e-mail, which is more often due to the user's consent and interest due to the attraction, unlike in Pharming.
Pharming:
In pharming, individuals are not enticed like in Phishing. They are taken to these bogus Web sites without any notice. Larger numbers of computer users can be victimized in this case because it is not necessary to target individuals one by one and no conscious action is required on the part of the victim. In one form of pharming attack, code sent in an e-mail modifies local Host Files on a personal computer. The host files convert URLs into the number strings that the computer uses to access Web sites. A computer with a compromised host file will go to the fake Web site even if a user types in the correct Internet address or clicks on an affected bookmark entry. Some spyware removal programs can correct the corruption, but it frequently recurs unless the user changes browsing habits.
DNS Poisoning:
A particularly ominous pharming tactic is known as Domain Name System poisoning, in which the domain name system table in a server is modified so that someone who thinks they are accessing legitimate Web sites is actually directed toward fraudulent ones. In this method of pharming, individual personal computer host files need not be corrupted. Instead, the problem occurs in the DNS server, which handles thousands or millions of Internet users' requests for URLs. Victims end up at the bogus site without any visible indicator of a discrepancy. Spyware removal programs cannot deal with this type of pharming because nothing need be technically wrong with the end users' computers.
Consequences:
Once personal information such as a credit card number, bank account number, or password has been entered at a fraudulent Web site, criminals have the information and Identity Theft can be the end result.
